Zuco 103
Zuco 103 is formed by Brazilian born Lilian Vieira, drummer Stuv (S.Kruger) from Amsterdam and Stefan Schmid at the keyboards. Performing with a rich and well equipped orchestra, the band’s uniquely melodic and up tempo sound is carefully shaped by the Stefan Krufer’s galvanizing rhythms, Stefan Schmid’s astonishing harmonies and the incredible vocals by Lilian Viera from Rio de Janeiro.

Mixing Brazilian music’s mesmerizing melodies and energetic rhythms with electronic beats Zuco 103, was on the stage on 12th of May 2007 as the last event of Shaman World Music Days for 2007!
Considered as one of the finest bands of Brazilian music scene after the release of their ground breaking debut album “Outro Lado” in Europe, Zuco 103 is formed by Brazilian born Lilian Vieira, drummer Stuv (S.Kruger) from Amsterdam and Stefan Schmid at the keyboards. Performing with a rich and well-equipped orchestra, the band’s uniquely melodic and up tempo sound is carefully shaped by the Stefan Krufer’s galvanizing rhythms, Stefan Schmid’s astonishing harmonies and the incredible vocals by Lilian Viera from Rio de Janeiro.
Expanding the limits of their music with the release of five albums, the band firmly grasps the fantastic sound created by their mixture of Afro-Cuban, West African and dub melodies with samba, bossa nova, funk and R’n’B beats. Being one of the most closely followed bands of the contemporary Brazilian Music, Zuco 103 offered an ecstatic visual experience in its special performance for Shaman World Music Days.

Opening its doors in February 2007 garajistanbul will be a performance center that is open to unconventional and alternative performances. The venue is structured to be a flexible and re-designable empty space, with the ability to accommodate all forms of ever-changing and developing world of performing arts.
Shaman World Music Production’s 2007 events will be organized in cooperation with garajistanbul. Shaman’s World Music Days’ main venue will be garajistanbul with its 600m2 indoor space, high-ceilings, sleek interior design and state-of-the-art audio-visual technology.
With Shaman World Music Production’s and garajistanbul’s parallel perspective and mission to have a permanent place in Istanbul’s cultural scene, this cooperation reflects the exciting first step of a long-term relationship.
